KISS ME, CAPTAIN
Book 2 in the French Kiss series
by Gwen Jones

releasing August 26th, 2014 from Avon Impulse

French billionaire Marcel Mercier loves women. And there's a string of broken hearts across two continents to prove it. But as CEO of Mercier Shipping, he's got more important things to worry about . . . like why the charter company he just purchased in the United States is suddenly the center of an international media firestorm.

Now that big, bad Mercier Shipping owns Captain Dani Lloyd's ship, she's sure her job is at stake. But she won't go down without a fight—even if it means chaining herself to the mast of the Esther Reed and refusing to set foot on shore.

The delectable captain and her newsworthy dramatics are a PR nightmare, but Marcel is happy to let Dani prove her skills on a weeklong sail to Boston. He knows no woman can resist him for that long . . . in fact, he's counting on it.

But Marcel's plan to seduce Dani backfires as sparks fly between the billionaire playboy and the passionate captain. Which leaves Marcel realizing that winning her heart is a challenge he can't afford to lose.

EXCERPT:

“Monsieur Mercier,” she whispered. “Monsieur …”

He could see her better now, the shadows outlining her face, her long, lilting hair a fiery corona. She looked impatient, like waiting for him to do something, say something, but at the moment all he could do was watch her—her eyes half-masted, her lips slightly parting as she started to speak. When she didn’t, he was truly disappointed as he wanted to hear her again, if only for the sound of her voice.

Then what did she want?

“Qu’est-ce que tu as dit?” he asked her, wondering what she wanted, turning her hand over to idly feather the inside of her palm. She looked startled, her gaze darting up and around, as if his were a voice coming out of the sky. “Que veux-tu, chère?”

“Toi …” She broke his grasp, looking dead into his eyes. She really was quite pretty, he thought, more than she allowed herself to be, her features trying so hard to be forceful when in fact they were quite delicate. He thought she’d run away when suddenly she leaned in close, his skin pulsing under the convergence of breast and leg, saying, “Je te veux … ”

He couldn’t believe it. Did she say she wanted him? Did she really? He was floored and instantly aroused; each strand of her hair that touched his thighs was a live wire. “Tu me veux?”

“Mais oui,” she purred, coquettishly tilting her head until he could see her, her eyes sleepy and seductive, her lips ripe to be nibbled until they were swollen from kissing. “J'ai tellement envie de toi . . .”

Then she turned, pushing herself up, her hands on either side of his legs, caging him, her face pale yet radiant in the moonlight. He clasped her around the tops of her arms and leveled his gaze with hers, her eyes like liquid emeralds. “T’as les plus beaux yeux que j’ai jamais vus,” he murmured, the simple statement hardly capturing how lovely her eyes actually were. But it made her smile and she tilted her head in assessment, her hand alighting to the top of his knee, insistently pressing down.
